A dynamic start to the year with positive signals for Switzerland as a blockchain location

Read newsletter (in German)

The year 2025 is beginning as dynamically as the previous one ended. While the crypto debate in the US is gaining momentum with Trump’s meme coin and new regulatory initiatives, there are also significant developments and positive signals for the blockchain industry in Switzerland: the Federal Council is open to blockchain-related questions from parliament, BX Digital has been granted a DLT trading license by FINMA, and leading banks such as Zürcher Kantonalbank and UBS are testing trading in fund shares via the blockchain for the first time.

These developments show that Our commitment is bearing fruit – now we need to build on this momentum.

In recent weeks, the Swiss Blockchain Federation has engaged in intensive discussions with other associations, positioned itself at important events and is now working flat out on promising projects and concepts.

We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and will be happy to answer any questions you may have at info@blockchainfederation.ch.
