DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDUSTRY STANDARD
The Security Token Offerings working group has intensively dealt with the new securities law provisions of the DLT Act. The provisions, which came into force on February 1, 2021, provide a robust legal basis for asset tokenization.
However, as with any new law, numerous interpretive issues arise. The working group has drafted guidance in the form of a circular on the introduction of registry value rights into Swiss law.
It is a concern of the Swiss Blockchain Federation to create a common understanding about the requirements for register of value and registration agreement and thus to develop a standard supported by all relevant stakeholders.
